Continuing education is a very important part of Dr. Nabi's philosophy because he truly believes that one has to be on the cutting edge of their field to be able to provide their patients with the highest quality of care. During his GPR training he was also a clinical instructor at UBC dental School.
He has further expanded his training by attending multiple continuing education courses all across North America. He has taken the Carl Miche's Course for implants and bone grafting. About Dr. Kevin Aminzadeh
Dr. Aminzadeh was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and grew up most of his life in the community of Capital Hill in North Burnaby. Kevin remembers dreaming of becoming a dentist since the age of 12. Upon graduating from the University of British Columbia in 1996 with a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy, he moved to the University of Western Ontario where he graduated in May 2001 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He continues to hone his clinical skills through continuing education courses in orthodontics, Implantology, laser technology and endodontics. Recently he completed the renowned Force International orthodontic training program. Kevin is also a published author of several scientific articles on the effects of medications on the dental patient and the relationship between amalgams and multiple sclerosis.
In 2004, Kevin realized his dream of owning a dental practice by purchasing Norburn Dental Centre. Ironically the owner, Dr. Iain Forsyth used to be his dentist when he was growing up. Norburn Dental Centre was located in a second floor walk up far away from the hustle and bustle of street traffic. In spite of solid patient base, Kevin was searching for a greater opportunity to increase exposure. The Safeway at corner of Willingdon and Hastings provided an opportunity to expose the practice to street side traffic. The new practice, Eagle Creek Dental Centre opened for business on June 2005 and since opening day has been met with great enthusiasm from the community. This centre is a state of the art facility utilizing proven dental technology while providing a serene and relaxing environment for the patient.
Kevin’s personal interests and activities include sculpting in clay and soapstone, open water scuba diving, and soccer. His greatest achievement in his life by far is marrying Isabella Taba, who is not only beautiful but also very intelligent. In 2007, as an electrical engineer she helped Kevin develop a device that tells the dentist exactly when the tooth has become numb.
